Magento Version 1 End-of-Support

Adobe announced End-of-Support (EOS) for its 12-year-old e-commerce product, Magento 1. As of June 30, 2020, Adobe stopped releasing patches and responding to security issues for all Magento 1.x releases.

If your online store is still running on Magento 1, Adobe recommends all site owners migrate to Magento version 2 as soon as possible. After the EOS date, your website could become more vulnerable to security violations and performance problems.

Magento 2 provides better performance, advanced SEO, improved checkout, stronger security, and marketing automation. Plus, the infrastructure is easier to maintain and support which decreases your long-term website hosting and maintenance costs.

After Sept 30, 2021, we will no longer provide technical support, maintenance, or hosting for Magento 1 websites due to evolving web and server technologies. The level of effort and associated costs to maintain credit card compliance and build custom security patches for outdated web technology far outweighs the cost of migration to a more secure and modern e-commerce platform.

We provide two Magento 1 Migration options.

Magento 1 to Shopify Migration

We recommend the Shopify Migration for our clients with small to mid-size shops. You are generally the client who likes to manage your online store operations through a convenient web-based admin. Shopify makes it a breeze for shop owners to add products, images, and content using a more user-friendly drag and drop interface.

Suitable for users of all technical abilities. Shopify allows shop owners to make many website updates without having to get a developer involved. And, if you need a developer for customizing themes or integrating extensions, we can help with that too! The money you will save on website maintenance costs can be applied to other business expenses, for example, your marketing budget.
